Our Commitment

Transforming Lives Through Empowerment

Our mission is to cultivate a supportive environment where adolescents discover their voices and develop critical executive functioning skills. Through trauma-informed leadership, we aim to guide students from digital burnout to self-advocacy, preparing them for lifelong success.

Core Principles

Guiding Us Forward

We value empathy, resilience, and empowerment in every interaction. Our commitment to trauma-informed practices ensures a nurturing space for growth, while our focus on cognitive shifting allows students to embrace challenges and unlock their capabilities.

The Visionaries Behind The Teeny Tiny Collective
About the Board

“The Teeny Tiny Collective was established because the gap between ‘potential’ and ‘advocacy’ is too wide. Introducing the team dedicated to bridging that gap.”

Bridgette Reed, LMFT

Founder/Director | Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 8 years of experience, my expertise is built on a lived “experience”. Growing up in the rural south, where I became motherless at the age of 13, to navigating life as a Veteran’s spouse and a mother in a neurodiverse blended family, I have seen firsthand how often the brilliance of African American women and girls are overlooked.

Executive Functioning skills are a reality I navigate daily, and I know that for our community, the standard designs for success often fail to account for our unique experiences.

My primary mission is leading our Inner Advocate 6-week program. This intensive curriculum is designed to move our “Junior Partners” (our girls) away from the exhaustion of masking and toward a foundation of Executive Functioning that actually supports their natural brilliance.

My 4-Pillar Method for Success:

  • Self-Awareness: Identifying how your unique brain works before the world labels it.
  • Impact Analysis: Understanding how ADHD symptoms—not character flaws—affect your life.
  • Creative Modification: Designing sensory and movement-based tools to bridge executive gaps.
  • Informed Advocacy: Empowering you to decide if professional help or medication is your best “finishing touch.”

The journey through the Inner Advocate program culminates in our Annual Gala. This is more than an event; it is a “Grand Opening” for our girls to step into the world with their “Glow.” It’s a celebration of their hard work, their newfound peace, and their authentic success.

We provide the tools, the community, and the blueprint so that no girl has to wait until adulthood to be seen. At The Teeny Tiny Collective, we aren’t just managing symptoms—we are building advocates.

Amanda Bynum, LMFT

Board Member | Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist

With over eight years of experience as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Amanda Bynum serves as a Systems Architect for The Teeny Tiny Collective. Her career has been dedicated to the “structural reinforcement” of individuals and families. Amanda understands that for a community to thrive, every member needs access to a solid blueprint for emotional wellness and quality mental health care.

Amanda specializes in navigating the complex “interior” challenges that often stall progress: depression, anxiety, trauma, and neurodiversity, including Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD. Her approach is strengths-based, focusing on the inherent “materials” each girl already possesses. By integrating practical executive tools and healthy coping strategies, she helps our girls build the resilience needed to stand tall in any environment.

In her role on the board, Amanda provides the clinical oversight necessary for the Inner Advocate 6-week program. She is passionate about ensuring our Junior Partners have the “executive scaffolding” required to manage mood and anxiety. She believes that by providing education and practical tools, we can dismantle the stigma surrounding mental health and replace it with a blueprint for empowerment.

Amanda’s commitment to the community shines brightest during our Annual Gala. She views this event as the ultimate “Glow” ceremony—a time where the hard work of building emotional and executive integrity is revealed to the world. Through her telehealth expertise and community outreach, Amanda is a key architect in making sure the Collective’s mission is accessible to every girl in need of a new design for her life.

Kessye Gray

Secretary of the Board | Paralegal & Public Service Expert

A native of Alabama and a survivor of domestic violence, Kessye Gray brings 30 years of public service and a deep understanding of the “terrain” our girls navigate today. As a mother of three and grandmother of three, Kessye has witnessed firsthand how a lack of community and support can lead to a breakdown in emotional regulation and control. Her career is built on the belief that when we fail to build a strong foundation for our children, the rippling effects impact the safety and peace of our entire community.

In her role as Secretary, Kessye acts as our Project Surveyor. With years of experience as a paralegal assistant working alongside judges and lawyers, she brings a high-level skill set in research, investigation, and compliance. She ensures that the structural records of The Teeny Tiny Collective are meticulous and that our organization operates with the “Structural Integrity” required to serve our community for years to come.

Kessye’s heart for service was refined during 25 years in the beauty industry, where she dedicated herself to providing beauty services for at-risk teenage girls in Birmingham group homes. She understands that “The Glow” we celebrate at our Annual Gala is not just about the exterior—it is about the confidence that comes when a girl feels seen and supported.

Kessye is dedicated to supporting the Inner Advocate 6-week program by ensuring our Junior Partners have a documented path toward success. She provides the empathy and administrative strength necessary to bridge the gap between a lack of control and the executive mastery our girls need to lead safe, harmonious lives.

Rashida Kirton

Treasurer | Business Management & Nonprofit Operations Expert

Rashida Kirton’s commitment to building lasting structures is rooted in her lineage, tracing back to ancestors enslaved in Central Virginia who laid the literal foundations of this country. Born in Washington, D.C., and raised between Atlanta and Ghana, West Africa, Rashida brings a global perspective to the “terrain” of The Teeny Tiny Collective. As a mother of three and a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, she embodies the principles of service and scholarship in everything she constructs.

With a BS in Business Management and Accounting and currently pursuing a Masters of Public Administration, Rashida serves as our Project Estimator. Through her firm, Kirton Ink Consulting Group LLC, she has mastered the art of integrating financial discipline with systems thinking. She doesn’t just manage money; she builds the “financial scaffolding” that allows nonprofits to remain standing through every season. Her work ensures that every dollar donated to the Collective is an investment in operational excellence.

Rashida knows that financial literacy is a critical component of Executive Functioning. In her role as Treasurer, she ensures that the Inner Advocate 6-week program is fully resourced, providing our Junior Advocate’s with the tools they need to manage their lives with accountability and clarity. She bridges the gap between economic opportunity and community resilience, ensuring that our girls have a solid floor to stand on.

For Rashida, our Annual Gala is the ultimate audit of our success. It is where the financial investment of our donors meets the human potential of our girls. As a member of the Junior League of Atlanta and founder of her own youth nonprofit, GIFTS, Inc., she is dedicated to ensuring the “Glow” of our girls is backed by a sustainable, professional organization that honors African American history while building its future.
